Everything's focussing on Iraq but what about Palestine?

Like most of you readers and bloggers know it, most of the attention is now focused on Iraq. Needless to ask why; kamikazes rain the place, the american army is just unable to hold the fort as october will now be known as the deadliest month for the american soldiers and a Rummy in a splendid form who thinks that the torch will be soon carried by the iraquis as their formation seems to stomps on place. All of that as the very important elections are about to knock at the United States door. In all that climate, it's normal that such event takes so much places in the news. HOwever, there is a serious catastrophe going on not so far away from Iraq, the Gaza Strip.
In fact, it would be very accurate to say that the place is on the brink of a major civil war and that nobody is doing nothing to counter this; Hamas supporters and Fatah followers are challenging each others openly in the streets with weapons, most governement employees are pennyless because of some embargos decreted by Israel and meanwhile, Tsahal is organising various raids against some so-called terrorists and even against some members of the ministry. And the peace in all that? You see, bolstering hate by meticulously spreading death and misery over a whole generation will never do much to help some nation to love another. WHen you want peace, when you want your nation to be recognize by your neighbours, what's the better way? To collaborate and make their life as normal as possible or blow blombs here and here, decrete an embargo and making sure that the infrastructures will be totally unable to hold on a very fragile balance maintained by a thin hair? Rather than blocking every funds, wouldn't it be better to distribute it by yourself to assure that the balance will be maintained on the other side of the border? Wouldn't it be there the key to peace? SOme seems to think that it's not the case. IN fact, I often wonder if the israelite government really wants peace or wouldn't be trying in a very substile and versed way to give themselves a reason to keep on bullying the palestinians? This question deserves to be even more raised since Ariel Sharon's in the coma and as the anger against the colony dismantling is still roaring with fierce backup.

Personally, I really wonder if some of them really want to deploy all means necessary to back up a potential serious peace plan, for me, such thing would mean in first instance to help the opposite gouvernment (even if they are classified as terrorists") or at least, to make sure that the state workers could have their wage and eat to their hunger, it would also imply a clear statement that some palestinian authority would be recognize even if their government at their head is declared as a terrorist group, such compromizing here are absolutely necessary if they expect the Hamas to forsake their dream of destroying the state of Israel. One thing's for sure: creating a full generation of hate will leave deep marks and dire sequels for a possible peace in the years to come. The question is how many innocents will need to die and how unbereable will the pain of Israel have to be before someone decides to lock the bull's horns against all odds to correct the trajectory?

Let's face it, nobody in the Israeli camp(I'm not talking about citizen of Israel) want peace. As long as Israel think that they can get more out of war, then it's war. Unless the Europeans decide to do something about it, witch I doubt, it won't change in the near future.

Sadly I do think the same, I only have this beaming glimpse of hope somewhere in my dark mind that doesn't want to stop believing in it

Well keep believing in it because something is gonna happen at some point. You can't keep millions of people on their knees forever!

I know, and they are kinda pissed off, and a fair number of them are mad enough and equiped enough to wave the kind of storm you won't see.. we already have seen a part of it but I know that if ever it explodes for real, it's gonna get quite ugly.
