the WIFI technology: welcome to the HAcker's paradise

Nike and APPLE, two unavoidable titans of the economic market have created a sport kit including AN Ipod and some Nike outfit which provide its user via RFID device that fits into the soles of Nike shoes of the progress/Speed and direction that the runner is exercising. Therefore, such systems are also an open door to hackers to use this tool against its owners for different reasons, creepy? YEah, especially when you consider how easy it's done: http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,72202-0.html?tw=wn_technology_5

If you remember the article I posted about the biometric passports, it's another proof that such technology is a two edged sword and can conduct to dire consequences. Of course, this is not only triggering Nike and Ipod newly created sport kit, it's also a warning message to all the companies and users susceptible to create/buy such wifi/rfid devices. THe technology is new and quite appealing, but unless the security will be improved decently, such devices do represent a potential timebomb with its fair deal of serious problems on a medium time period.
