Rummy's out, Gates in

Yeah, Donald Rumsfeld, one of the major acrhitect of the bogging war in Iraq, resigned from his job of secretary of defence of the state. NOw that he's out, Robert Gates is the one who will take in charge the job as well as the responsabilities of this very demanding post, especially in such circumstances. THough some of us can chuckle at the idea of seing Rumsfeld riding alone in the sunset, the new comer is not real better as he has a long and litigious past as responsable of the CIA during Papa Bush reign.... Well, he might not be as evil as Edgar Hoover but don't get him wront, the guy's a fierce republican that will lead the chariot just like Rumsfeld did before him

Gates is no Neocon at least...

a super neo-cons... I would have tons of things to say about that guy, he's really creepy, he's just like Richard Perle used to be, a lot more in the shadows of darkness.

Super Neocon... I doubt it... More likely a realist in the line of Brent Scowcroft and James Baker... Papa Bush old guard.

Papa Bush à la rescousse...

Old guard for sure but his thoughts have always been indeed toward neo-conservstism... he has a touch of real politik all like Kissinger, true, but most of his ideas are in straight line with what the neo-cons hoped through the PNAC.

Thus said, the article on papabush is really tasty for the mind, thanks for it.
